HiBoost Travel 4G RV

Installed this on a 25 foot travel trailer to boost Verizon cell service and cannot tell an appreciable difference when powered up/not powered up - signal stayed the same either way. If we got one bar before power, we got one bar after power. Tried several different locations for the internal antenna within the trailer with no perceivable boost to signal. Additionally, at last check, our newer phones did not work with the recommended app as it is not yet compatible with the latest bluetooth ver 5.2, so cannot tell what difference there is by moving the antenna/gain before and after numerically. We're considering a different external antenna, but not wanting to waste more time and money for an ineffective device. Would also need to consider a stronger mount as ours bends from road travel (air/wind will bend the aluminum bracket).YMMV depending on carrier/install parameters, but there are also other manufacturers out there to consider.Update 7/27/22 - after this review, HiBoost CS contacted me and offered a refund for the booster, which is greatly appreciated.

Been traveling in RV for last 3 weeks. Tested/ Used at 4 different camping areas with different results at each. 1st campground I was told "no cell unless you drive up on that hill and then you can maybe text" I hooked up booster and could send texts, get texts, callout and receive cell calls. Second campground had cell but had a lot of dropped words and some dropped calls. Again hooked up booster and had much clearer calls and no dropped calls. Same thing at 3rd camp area. 4th area did not need booster.Over all I found it works as advertised if there is any signal it seems to boost it enough to be usable. Great addition to my RV.

I ordered this so I could improve the signal to my mobile hotspot while camping. Delivery was quick and installation was straight forward following the directions in the app. Cell signal is sketchy even at my home, but I picked up a few bars while parked in the driveway. I recommend doing the "soft installation" to make sure everything works how you would like it to for your specific application before drilling holes or performing any other modifications to your vehicle. I also suggest watching a few YouTube installation videos where you might pick up some tips/tricks/lessons learned from others.I mounted the antenna on the ladder of my RV, then ran the cable through the front door for the initial setup and experimented with different locations for the interior antenna. I didn't measure it, but I think the coax is ~25-30' long so I had some room to play inside my 30' motorhome.Another positive note. after my installation I had a question about the booster. Tech support responded in less than an hour with the answer I was looking for.

Purchased the HiBoost and had a power issue after about two months. Seller responded with a replacement unit. Thank you HiBoost

You know this is a quality unit once you open the box and see how there is so much detail in just the packaging. It is so nice to make a heck of a gift.
